The following bayonets were all dug by Bill Smith in the trenches and fields of port hudson. They were recovered at a time when permission was given to hunt those famous fields. |
Model 1853 Enfield, left side of socket has a slight flattening from possible projectile impact?? blade has been soldier shortened and has slight upward turn. This piece is non-dug or early pick-up, but it definitely has seen the elephant. (bs8) $68 |
