The following bottles are all from the period between 1840 - 1870. They were all
recovered from wells and cisterns in the area of the New Orleans' river front.
Most if not all came from the many "Cotton Press" warehouses that populated the
river front. During the war these warehouses were used to house both Confederate
and later Federal troops.
